Love it!! First put on my face a warm wet face towel to open my pores, then start to clean my face with the Meg 21 bright and clear gel cleanser with gentle massage. Honestly when I done, I feel my face really clean, soft and more clear! And the very first time. Love it!!!!
The citrus scent is refreshing, does not make my skin break out, soft after use
I LOVE this cleanser! I waited a while to make my review because I wanted to see if the rather steep price tag was worth it and whether I could tell it does what it says it does.I have a couple of no brainer tests I have for facial products when I first start them. First, does it break me out? How does my skin react? I don't have uber sensitive skin but I am no stranger to break outs if there is an ingredient that doesn't sit well with me. I didn't break out in even one blemish. Also, I was not red or sensitive on my face or neck when first starting this product. Second, was there a "skin adjustment period"? I had no exfoliation or adjustment issues. And third, does it also remove makeup? YES. A resounding YES. Oftentimes, cleansers are for after you've removed your makeup and I'm lazy, so I don't always wash my face to remove makeup before I use a nice cleanser. (Ain't nobody got time for that.) This removed my makeup so much better than the expensive cleanser I was using prior to this.I was using R+F cleanser before and took a mental note of how my skin looked when I switched. I am SO happy to report that you don't have to spend $70 on a cleanser for great results! My skin is in just as amazing shape as it was using the very expensive other brand. I am usually pretty skeptical of the "brightening" claims companies make but I really believe this has given my skin a certain glow and keeps my skin looking fresh. I highly recommend if you are wondering if this $40+ cleanser is worth it.
When I first used the MEG 21 Bright & Clear Brightening Gel Cleanser, my skin felt a little tight (not in a good way) temporarily afterwards, and I wondered if perhaps it had been a mistake to purchase a gel cleanser, even though I don't have dry skin. I decided to stick with it, however, and after several uses, I didn't notice the tight feeling any more. After a few weeks of consistent use, this product does seem to have some brightening properties - although I don't have a real problem with dark spots, I have a few very small ones - and I've come to enjoy the way it feels during the cleansing process. It lathers just enough, doesn't sting, and rinses off easily. However, I don't rely on it to remove all sunscreen (I wear a lot of usually mineral-based sunblock) and makeup - I use another product for that first - and can''t comment on that.
I really like this cleanser. A little goes a long way and it really lathers nicely and my skin looks fabulous! I normally use in the AM in the shower with a sponge and my skin does look brighter and the dark sun spots seem to be less noticeable. Love the ingredients and when I do use in the evening it does really remove makeup well and no irritation.I haven't used any other MEG 21 products but am super impressed with this cleanser. My skin looks great and blemish free.
