What is SP-IV Complex™?
SP-IV Complex™ is not a single chemical ingredient. It is MEG 21’s name for the way Advanced Defense Serum is built: four pillars that each support skin in a different way, chosen to work together in one step. You will find SP-IV Complex™ only in Advanced Defense Serum.
The four pillars
Anti-glycation technology. Supplamine®, MEG 21’s patented anti-glycation technology, helps interrupt glycation and helps protect collagen from sugar-related stress.
Peptide support. A multi-peptide complex, including Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1 and a group of sh-polypeptides and sh-oligopeptides, supports firmer, smoother-looking skin.
Skin barrier lipids. Ceramide NP, Ceramide AP and Ceramide EOP, with phytosphingosine and cholesterol, help support the skin barrier that keeps moisture in.
Hydration. Sodium hyaluronate (a form of hyaluronic acid) and glycerin draw water into the outer layers of skin for a smoother, plumper look.
How the four work together
Each pillar covers a different need. Supplamine® helps protect the collagen you have from glycation. Peptides act as messengers that help skin look firmer. Ceramides help keep the barrier strong, so skin holds on to the hydration that hyaluronic acid and glycerin bring in. Skin that is well hydrated and comfortable also tends to look smoother, which helps the other pillars show.
Putting all four in one serum keeps a routine simple: one step after cleansing, before moisturizer and sunscreen.

How to use it in your routine
Smooth a few drops of Advanced Defense Serum over clean, dry skin on the face and neck. The lightweight texture layers easily under makeup.
