Med Spa Treatments 2026: What’s Trending (and the Skincare That Supports Them)

The med spa menu has never been longer, or more interesting. Walk into any clinic this year and you’ll hear the same words: regenerative, collagen, natural-looking, minimal downtime. Beauty editors have spent 2025 and 2026 writing about a quiet shift away from the “done” look and toward skin that simply looks rested, firm and luminous.

Here is our edit of the treatments shaping 2026, what each one is for, and the one thing they all have in common: the results look their best when the skincare you use every day, between visits, is just as considered.

1. Regenerative treatments: polynucleotides, PDRN and exosomes

If one trend defines the moment, it’s “regenerative” aesthetics. Polynucleotides and PDRN (yes, the so-called “salmon sperm facial”) went from K-beauty secret to mainstream talking point, with beauty editors calling it one of the defining trends of the past year. Exosomes sit alongside them on many menus, though the science and regulation around them are still catching up.

We break down the differences, and what’s still unproven, in Polynucleotides vs Exosomes vs PDRN: The “Salmon Sperm Facial” Explained.

2. RF microneedling (Morpheus8 and friends)

Radiofrequency microneedling combines tiny needles with gentle heat, and it has become the go-to for people who want a firmer-looking jawline, neck and skin texture without surgery. Morpheus8 is the name most people know. Noninvasive tightening with minimal downtime appears on nearly every 2026 trend list.

3. Classic microneedling

Still one of the most requested treatments, and for good reason: it’s versatile, approachable and pairs well with almost everything else on this list. What you put on your skin afterwards matters, which is why we wrote a full guide: What to Put on Your Skin After Microneedling (and Laser & Peel Aftercare).

4. Lasers and peels: Moxi, BBL, CO2 and chemical peels

From the “prejuvenation” favourite Moxi to BBL for tone and CO2 for deeper resurfacing, lasers remain a pillar of the med spa world, with chemical peels as their gentler cousin. Every provider will tell you the same thing afterwards: protect your skin from the sun, every single day. Mineral SPF is usually the first recommendation.

5. Neurotoxins and fillers, done softly

Botox and its siblings are still the most widely offered injectables in med spas, according to the American Med Spa Association. What has changed is the brief: lighter doses, natural movement and a focus on overall skin quality. Fillers are being used more subtly too. Our guide to the best skincare between Botox & filler appointments covers the daily routine that fits around them.

6. Biostimulators and skin boosters

Vogue and Allure both put biostimulators such as Sculptra and Radiesse at the centre of 2026’s “pro-collagen” mood: injectables designed to prompt the skin’s own collagen over time rather than simply add volume. Skin boosters such as Skinvive, which add hydration within the skin, are another fast-growing category with a cult following.

7. Barrier-first facials and LED

HydraFacial-style treatments and LED light remain the “lunchtime” options: little to no downtime, a visible glow, and a natural fit between bigger treatments. They also reflect another 2026 theme, the barrier-first approach: calm, hydrated skin before anything else.

The common thread: what happens between visits

A treatment takes an hour. The weeks in between are where your skin spends most of its life, and that daily environment shapes how your results look over time. Sun, dryness and glycation (the process where sugars bind to collagen and elastin, leaving skin looking less firm and less bright) don’t pause between appointments.

That’s where MEG 21 comes in. Our skincare is built around Supplamine®, an anti-glycation complex that helps interrupt visible glycation on the skin’s surface. It’s designed to complement your treatments as part of your daily routine, never to replace them. You can read more about the approach on our science page.

Developed by Dr. Annette Tobia, PhD, MEG 21 is dispensed by physicians, which is why so many med spa clients already know it as the routine they use between visits.

A simple between-treatments routine

Prefer a set? The Complete Defense Set brings together the Advanced Defense Serum, Smooth Radiance Face Treatment, Bright & Firm Eye Treatment and Daily Mineral Shield SPF 30; the Day Defense Set pairs the serum with the SPF.

FAQ

What is the most popular med spa treatment in 2026?

Neurotoxin injections remain the most widely offered, but the buzz this year is around regenerative treatments (polynucleotides, PDRN, exosomes), RF microneedling and biostimulators. Your provider can tell you which suits your skin and goals.

Can skincare replace med spa treatments?

No. Professional treatments and daily skincare do different jobs. A good routine complements your treatments and supports how your skin looks between visits.

When can I go back to my normal skincare after a treatment?

It depends on the treatment. Always follow your provider’s aftercare instructions and reintroduce your routine once they say your skin is ready.

Where does anti-glycation skincare fit?

Glycation is an everyday process that affects how firm and bright skin looks. Anti-glycation skincare like MEG 21 is designed for daily use, between treatments.
